On January 24, Warriors Guard Nate Robinson visited the students at the East Oakland Sports Center.
Nate started off by asking each of the students questions and giving them all words of encouragement. He made sure to touch on the importance of education and how great of an advantage it can provide a student when they enter the next stage of their life.
Nate also gave the students a chance to ask questions. From playing basketball in grade school to life in the NBA, Nate answered questions on a wide range of subjects.
The students created a banner welcoming him to the Bay Area and also presented him with a t-shirt from the Oakland Parks & Recreation Department. Nate gave each student in attendance a Warriors goodie bag and signed autographs as well.
The students were grateful to spend time with one of their favorite players.
